Teenage fans of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series have sent Wuthering Heights – the favourite novel of the books' hero and heroine – soaring to the top of the classics bestseller charts.
A new edition of the novel, repackaged in a similar style to Meyer's Twilight books – black cover, white flower, tagline "love never dies" – was released in May this year, and has already sold more than 10,000 copies in the UK, nearly twice as many as the traditional Penguin Classic edition, making it Waterstone's bestselling classic. All right you twi-hards (I know you’re out there), we’ve got some great news for you. Not only has the final cast list for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse been confirmed, but we’ve rounded up some new pictures of the malevolent Volturi from The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

Let’s start with Eclipse.

To accompany stalwart Twilight veterans Robert Pattinson (playing Edward Cullen) and Kristen Stewart (playing Bella Swan), Eclipse has added a number of new actors to its mix. Among the newbies are Xavier Samuel as Riley, Catalina Sandino Moreno as Maria, Jack Huston as Royce King, Julia Jones as Leah, BooBoo Stewart as Seth, and Jodelle Ferland as Bree. Bryce Dallas Howard will also be joining the cast as Victoria, controversially replacing actress Rachelle Lafevre. It's the plea that is resonating among fans in the 'Twilight' world: Robert Pattinson come out of hiding!
The last time we saw him, RPattz was partying it up with the Eclipse cast and the Kings of Leon in Vancouver. That was back on August 15th, and there's been no RPattz sighting since.
On the set sources says the only reason Pattinson hasn't been spotted, is because he's hard at work on the third installment of the 'Twilight Saga'. Just released by The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse film studio Summit Entertainment is this exclusive first look at one member of the Volturi guard - Marcus (portrayed by Christopher Heyerdahl).
Heyerdahl had a lovely interview back in July where he discussed the role of Marcus, stating, "[t]hrough a series of tragic circumstances, the love of his life was killed, and he's now being forced to stay and use his powers for the betterment of the Volturi."

It seems these days the key to making a television show or movie work is to have a vampire in the storyline. It worked for True Blood, HBO’s drama with an unorthodox take on vampires in Louisiana. Already in it’s second season, True Blood is currently ranked #6 on Amazon.com’s list of bestselling DVDs . Behind it at #7 is Twilight, a film about young teen girl who falls in love with vampire who is torn by his desire to love her or suck her body dry until it’s devoid of blood. Last night the Twilight Eclipse crew was back to work shooting under a bridge a “Seattle” scene with Bryce Dallas Howard and Xavier Samuel as “Victoria and Riley”. Victoria seduces Riley so that he’ll carry out her orders to make new vampires. As you can see, they’ve wigged out Bryce’s hair to resemble Rachelle Lefevre’s.
Xavier was also confirmed yesterday to be attending TIFF. Great experience for an actor, totally. But hopefully it won’t mean that Twif-ckery will invade our festival.

Studio takes bite out of rumors of fifth 'Twilight' movie
Summit Entertainment has defanged the rumor that there would be a fifth "Twilight" movie, saying it ain't so.
New cast member Boo Boo Stewart was speaking out of turn when he said in an interview that there would be three more movies, the studio confirmed. Since the Stephenie Meyer series of books - on which the films are based - only runs to four titles, five films would mean breaking the last book, "Breaking Dawn," in two. 'Twilight' actors in Vancouver for 'Eclipse'
According to an interview on Radar Online as reported by the Twilight Examiner, several cast members from the "Twilight Saga" will be flying to Vancouver to work on the third movie in the popular series.

'Twilight' Author Stephenie Meyer Sued Over Alleged Plagiarism
Two weeks after receiving a cease-and-desist order over claims that the fourth book in her "Twilight" series, "Breaking Dawn," plagiarized another novel, Stephenie Meyer was sued on Wednesday over the alleged infringement. According to TMZ, lawyers for little-known author Jordan Scott filed a lawsuit in federal court claiming that "Breaking Dawn" shows "striking, articulable and substantial" similarities to Scott's "The Nocturne," in "plot lines, themes, dialogue, mood, setting, pace, characters, sequence of events [and] ideas."
A statement from Meyer's publisher, Hachette Book Group, called the copyright-infringement suit "completely without merit and simply a publicity stunt to further Ms. Scott's career," adding that "it is indisputable that Ms. Meyer's 'Breaking Dawn' was based on her original 'Twilight' sequel 'Forever Dawn,' which Meyer wrote in the fall of 2003 and registered with the U.S. Copyright Office on January 5, 2004. That is nearly two years before Ms. Scott allegedly posted portions of her novel on the Internet and approximately five years before Ms. Scott filed her copyright in September 2008." Read more...


'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' barn scene revealed
Last night, on the set of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, many on-lookers snapped photographs and videos of the production crew setting up a big, red barn.
The consensus seems to be that the scene being shot involves two vampires in some sort of dream sequence. Most agree that this is probably related to Jasper (Jackson Rathbone) and his experience with the character Maria (which has been cast with Catalina Sandino Moreno).
About a month ago, Eclipse director David Slade used his Twitter to tease fans about potential filming locations for the newborn hideout and battlefield (see here). While the recipe for those sequences might not call for a barn, it is indeed a possibility. Read more...

Official 'Twilight' Fan Conventions Launched By Studio
Following the success of this year's TwiCon convention devoted to Stephenie Meyer's vampire saga, Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the "Twilight" films, has launched its own series of official fan-focused events.
Partnering with Creation Entertainment, the studio will stage 20 events across North America over the next three years, according to a press release published on the fan site TwilightLexicon.com. The first convention took place last weekend in Phoenix. Events in the next few months will take place in New Jersey, Chicago and Vancouver, where the franchise's cast is currently gathered to shoot "Eclipse," the third film in the saga. Read more...

First, at Miko Sushi, 1335 Robson St, where Robert Pattinson, Kristin Stewart and the rest of the cast had a pre-production dinner party Friday night. Miko's is one of Vancouver's most popular Japanese restaurants, so its always crowded but the service is fast and the portions are large. JENNIE Garth, who stars in 90210, has outed Robert Pattinson’s worst kept secret - he’s dating his Twilight co-star.
The actress - who is married to Peter Facinelli, who plays vampire father Carlisle - blabbed about Rob’s relationship but refused to confirm which star he is seeing. Summit is going to be making some big changes over at that OCD-like studio. No, Robsten isn't going to come flying out of the dating closet. According to Nikki Finke (an industry know-it-all), its public relations head honcho, Vivian Mayer, is being replaced. We've confirmed with our own sources the hardly vivacious Vivian is vamoosing.
Darlings, this is a loaded decision on Summit's part. The bigwigs over there are P-I-S-S-E-D off. Why? Because this phasing out is sending a message that they are not happy with the lack of control over this deliciously raunchy Twilight cast.

As November's release of the "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" draws nigh, expect those Twilight tie-ins to strike as quickly as Edward Cullen's canine teeth.
Among the post-Comic-Con announcements is the news that Bluewater Productions will issue a bio-comic of "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer.
Reelzchannel announced that the "Female Force: Stephenie Meyer" comic -- there'll be two versions -- will hit the stands right before the "Twilight" sequel's scheduled Nov. 20 release.
This week, of course, "Twilight" won 11 Teen Choice Awards, including "best drama picture" (tuning in for professional reasons rendered me near-deaf, by the way -- is there anything really louder than a tween-jet engine?!). Read more...

Barbie Twilight Dolls… Do They Come With Wooden Stakes?

Well, not exactly. Barbie has jumped on the Twilight movie merchandise band wagon and they have just introduced Edward Cullen and Bella Swan Barbie dolls. Edward Cullen is Barbie’s first vampire doll, complete with shiny skin. No mention if the doll actually has fangs or not. *snicker*
Twilight, which was released last year, was pretty much bashed by movie critics and people who read the book. But it was uber popular with the yougin’s. It raked in $383,489,834. world wide and won several awards. It won the Teen Choice Awards, Young Artist Awards, MTV Movie Awards and Bravo’s A-List Awards. Sure, it ain't Oscar material, but a certain vampire flick definitely delivered the goods at the Twilight Choice Teen Choice Awards.
Twilight sucked up 11 of the 12 surfboards it was up for, even smacking down the Academy Award-winning Slumdog Millionaire for Choice Drama. Pretty much everyone except the Twilight key grip carried home hardware, led by Robert Pattinson's four surfboards, including Choice Actor, Drama (yes, Kristen Stewart was Choice Actress) and Male Hottie. Pattinson arrived in Vancouver yesterday, fresh from his triumph at Fox's Teen Choice Awards, where he won for "Hottest Hottie - Male" (would it be too medieval of me to request that the person who thought of the name for that award be drawn and quartered?) where Twilight made another clean sweep, winning 11 awards out of 12 nominations, with the only loss being the result of Ashley Greene and Nikki Reed being nominated in the same category ("Choice Movie Fresh Face - Female"). The vampire drama Twilight drove a stake through the 11th annual Teen Choice 2009 awards on Sunday, winning 11 trophies in a ceremony also notable for its celebration of musical acts new and not-so-new.

“Eclipse” adds another vampire to cast
Teenage actress Jodelle Ferland has been added to the cast for “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” the third movie in the popular vampire romance franchise.
According to Variety, Ferland, 14, will play “a vampire who has just been turned.”
Ferland’s previous credits include Terry Gilliam’s dark fantasy “Tideland,” the horror film “Silent Hill” and the telefilm “Pictures of Hollis Woods.” She will next appear in the thriller “Case 39″ with Renee Zellweger, Ian McShane and Bradley Cooper. Read more...
