Robert Pattinson experienced the "best day" of his life on the set of his new movie when an elephant picked him up in its mouth and turned him upside down.
The animal-loving Twilight actor is currently shooting circus movie Water for Elephants in California with Hollywood beauty Reese Witherspoon, but it was another female co-star who caught Pattinson's attention after a close encounter.

The 23-year-old 'Twilight Saga: Ne Moon' actor - who plays Edward Cullen in the vampire franchise - said he has struggled with the phenomenal success of the films but admits there are some advantages.
He said: "You're staying in fancy hotels with incredibly nice bathrooms. This is the best thing I can say about it.

Westrate, 17, has now confessed to police that the middle-aged man only kissed her on the neck and she was a willing participant.
She now faces the possibility of criminal charges for wasting police time, according to celebrity news site TMZ.

Stuff Christians Like is one of my favorite websites and I genuinely appreciate the humorous look it takes at church culture.
Because if you can’t laugh at yourself sometimes, then I think you’re in trouble.
Today’s post on the site had to do with the Twilight Saga phenomenon and the temptation that Christians might be facing to co-opt the current vampire craze:

Stephenie Meyer's enthusiasm dims for another Twilight book
With sales of more than 70m copies she is the queen of teen vampire romance, but Twilight author Stephenie Meyer has announced that she's "a little burned out on vampires".
Asked on the Oprah Winfrey show if she'd consider writing another book in the Twilight quartet, Meyer said that she had no immediate plans to return to the story of human teenager Bella and her vampire love interest Edward. "I think I need a little break," she said. "I've got to cleanse the palate ... I'm a little burned out on vampires right now."
Her next book, she said, was likely to be a follow-up to her one adult novel The Host – about the invasion of earth by a species which takes over the minds of humans while leaving their bodies intact – which she sees as a trilogy, but it could also be something "completely different". "I have another book that's kind of been itching in the back of my brain, that's completely unrelated, totally fantasy. "Twilight" and "True Blood" were among the top nominees announced Tuesday. Fans cast more than 18 million votes online to select the nominee slate and will also choose the winners in 35 categories.
"Twilight" is up for favorite movie, franchise and on-screen team for its trio of stars: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. Stewart and Pattinson were also nominated individually for favorite movie actress and actor, and Lautner is up for breakout movie actor.

Sometimes it’s hard to be a celebrity. November 2009 is one of them. Chances are, stars will, at some point this month, be asked if they’re on Team Edward or Team Jacob. I myself asked The Vampire Diaries’ Ian Somerhalder to enter the debate recently during a Pop Culture Personality Test interview (so totally legit line of questioning!), and having never read the books or seen the first film, he was unable to choose a side. I can appreciate that someone wouldn’t want to judge what he or she has not seen, however fluffy that something is, but if I were a publicist, I’d be telling my clients to have an answer at the ready regardless. Michael Sheen vamps it up in 'New Moon'
VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- It's a crisp May morning on the set of "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," and Michael Sheen strides into an elaborate reconstruction of an Italianate marble hall in costume as Aro, the head of the Volturi, a menacing group of age-old vampires that metes out justice in the realm of the supernatural. Dressed in a cloak, he's sporting long, black locks, bright red lips and matching tinted contact lenses that give him a distinctly malevolent look.
When a reporter asks if it's uncomfortable to look through the eyes of a monster, he suggests, quite politely and quite to the contrary: "No, I think it's more uncomfortable for you."
Sheen does seem right at home on the Vancouver soundstage, inhabiting his villainous role in the second movie adapted from Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" novels with unbridled glee. Link...

Scenes from The Twilight Saga: New Moon were shown at the Rome Film Festival on October 22 with New Moon actors Cameron Bright, Charlie Bewley and Jamie Campbell Bower appearing on the red carpet. Fans went crazy as these three young actors signed autographs while promoting their roles as part of the Volturi clan in the second film in the Twilight series.
A large portion of New Moon takes place in the Tuscan village of Volterra, the home of the Volturi, the powerful vampires who rule the vampire underworld. New Moon Is One Month Away, So Taylor Gets Vicious, Robert Gets Randy

One month.
We've been waiting so long for New Moon to hit theaters, and today marks just one month left in our countdown. That's almost as exciting as this awesome new clip and all the rad new photos released today!
In the scene, called "Jacob's Transformation," currently available on iTunes, Kristen Stewart is arguing with Taylor Lautner's pack. We're not quite sure how she can be so dour when surrounded by four seriously hot men not wearing shirts, but we guess when loose cannon Paul (Alex Meraz) says, "What did you do, little girl?" he had the big smack she gives him coming. He then gets all mad and turns into a scary wolf, which sends Jacob jumping over the porch and transforming to her rescue. Link to story and more photos AND "the clip"!!!

It's a bright, sunny day in the U.S. of A., but the world is hearkening Twilight right about now because The Twilight Saga: New Moon releases in exactly one month (and in a lot of places even sooner), and everyone knows it.
Today's Twilight news rundown is a bit lengthy, so grab your coffee!
For starters, obviously, the first released film clip from The Twilight Saga: New Moon has made its way to iTunes for your viewing pleasure. The scene was a great piece of the New Moon puzzle because it shows Bella approaching the wolfpack and asking them what has happened to Jacob. Of course, she doesn't know they're a wolfpack ... She probably thinks (if the film is like the book - which clearly it is) they're a cult that he doesn't want any part of at this point. When Paul scoffs at her suggestion that Jacob is afraid of them, she punches him in the face. When she does, Paul gets angry and excited and transforms into a werewolf right then and there. Though Sam tries to protect her from Paul by telling her to run, it is Jacob who saves the day. He does so by transforming into a wolf himself as she runs past him. The clip might look familiar to you since it was previewed, in part, in the very first teaser (think back to the days of the MTV Movie Awards) released by the studio. Link...

We've got a couple new stills from Summit Entertainment's "Twilight: New Moon", the sequel to their international blockbuster "Twilight" based on the popular series of books of the same name. The first is of Bella (Kristen Stewart) sharing a moment with her father. The second has Bella and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) listening to a man (no clue who he is or what part he plays in the movie) while sitting on a stair case. Read on to check them out! 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' soundtrack: Track-by-track reactions
A new film in the "Twilight" franchise is more than just a cinematic event. Since the soundtrack to "Twilight" sold a stunning 2.2 million copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan, the vampire brand means serious business to the music industry as well.
The soundtrack to "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" is released off-cycle today, rather than the typical music industry release day of Tuesday. It's out a month ahead of the film, which hits theaters nationwide on Nov. 20, and whether or not it will have the same retail impact as the music companion to the first film remains to be seen.
But this is much is certain: The "New Moon" soundtrack is definitely much more of a piece than the soundtrack to "Twilight." It's moody, music-to-get-sad-to, definitely, but music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas has put together a collection of songs that captures the drama of young love without drowning in it. Link...

Twilight: New Moon Soundtrack Released Early!

Twilight’s new soundtrack called “New Moon” is being released sooner than later. It is said that the cd will be due out four days earlier than its previous scheduled date, from October 20 to October 16.
According to Eonline, the cd will include songs from Radiohead, Ok Go, The Killers, Death Cab for Cutie, Muse and Grizzly Bear. The first album from Twilight’s original film debuted at number one on the Billboard’s 200 chart, selling over 3.5 million cds.
