Twilight and New Moon News for Oct 20
New Moon Is One Month Away, So Taylor Gets Vicious, Robert Gets Randy
One month.
We've been waiting so long for New Moon to hit theaters, and today marks just one month left in our countdown. That's almost as exciting as this awesome new clip and all the rad new photos released today!
In the scene, called "Jacob's Transformation," currently available on iTunes, Kristen Stewart is arguing with Taylor Lautner's pack. We're not quite sure how she can be so dour when surrounded by four seriously hot men not wearing shirts, but we guess when loose cannon Paul (Alex Meraz) says, "What did you do, little girl?" he had the big smack she gives him coming. He then gets all mad and turns into a scary wolf, which sends Jacob jumping over the porch and transforming to her rescue. Link to story and more photos AND "the clip"!!!
So very much 'Twilight' news
It's a bright, sunny day in the U.S. of A., but the world is hearkening Twilight right about now because The Twilight Saga: New Moon releases in exactly one month (and in a lot of places even sooner), and everyone knows it.
Today's Twilight news rundown is a bit lengthy, so grab your coffee!
For starters, obviously, the first released film clip from The Twilight Saga: New Moon has made its way to iTunes for your viewing pleasure. The scene was a great piece of the New Moon puzzle because it shows Bella approaching the wolfpack and asking them what has happened to Jacob. Of course, she doesn't know they're a wolfpack ... She probably thinks (if the film is like the book - which clearly it is) they're a cult that he doesn't want any part of at this point. When Paul scoffs at her suggestion that Jacob is afraid of them, she punches him in the face. When she does, Paul gets angry and excited and transforms into a werewolf right then and there. Though Sam tries to protect her from Paul by telling her to run, it is Jacob who saves the day. He does so by transforming into a wolf himself as she runs past him. The clip might look familiar to you since it was previewed, in part, in the very first teaser (think back to the days of the MTV Movie Awards) released by the studio. Link...

The Twilight Saga: New Moon Premiere Parties SF, NYC, and AZ
Gaining access into the Los Angeles premiere of The Twilight Saga: New Moon will be impossible due to popularity of the highly amped Twilight sequel and unless you are a super stealth MacGyver type who can scale the Mann's Theater, your access will be denied. Although the thought of seeing Robert Pattinson sport his skinny black tie on the red carpet makes you want to become Bruce Lee, we are here to tell you that you do have other options. Twilight fans are banning together to hold fun premiere parties filled with New Moon screenings, themed activities, and fun goodie bags. Twilight and True Blood Vampires Win at Scream Awards
We're all still vampire crazy!
We have to wonder if our vampire obsession will be going away any time soon. It sure looks like it's going to be sticking around! In fact, vampires were this year's biggest winners at the Scream Awards.
Twilight and True Blood are clearly what we want to watch when it comes to scary/fantasy and sexy entertainment. The other night at the Scream Awards Twilight won the awards for Best Fantasy Movie. In addition, we're super proud of Taylor Lautner for winning Best Breakout Performance. And we have to agree. Before Twilight, we had no clue who Taylor Lautner was. Now? He's way, way up there on our list of acting hotties. And as would be expected, Robert Pattinson won for Best Actor in a Fantasy Movie, while Kristen Stewart won for Best Actress in a Fantasy Movie. Twilight and New Moon News for Oct 16
Two New Stills From "Twilight: New Moon"
We've got a couple new stills from Summit Entertainment's "Twilight: New Moon", the sequel to their international blockbuster "Twilight" based on the popular series of books of the same name. The first is of Bella (Kristen Stewart) sharing a moment with her father. The second has Bella and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) listening to a man (no clue who he is or what part he plays in the movie) while sitting on a stair case. Read on to check them out! "Twilight: New Moon" hits theaters next month. Also, look for "Twilight: Eclipse" in theaters next June! Link...
'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' soundtrack: Track-by-track reactions
A new film in the "Twilight" franchise is more than just a cinematic event. Since the soundtrack to "Twilight" sold a stunning 2.2 million copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan, the vampire brand means serious business to the music industry as well.
The soundtrack to "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" is released off-cycle today, rather than the typical music industry release day of Tuesday. It's out a month ahead of the film, which hits theaters nationwide on Nov. 20, and whether or not it will have the same retail impact as the music companion to the first film remains to be seen.
But this is much is certain: The "New Moon" soundtrack is definitely much more of a piece than the soundtrack to "Twilight." It's moody, music-to-get-sad-to, definitely, but music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas has put together a collection of songs that captures the drama of young love without drowning in it. Link...
