'Twilight' leads with 12 Teen Choice Awards nods; 'HSM3' and 'Gossip Girl' get 10 each
"Slumdog Millionaire" may be the reigning Oscar champ, but it ran far behind "Twilight" when nominations for the 11th annual Teen Choice Awards were announced. The teen vampire romance snagged 12 nods, while the movie about a would-be millionaire in Mumbai managed only half that many. The two films face off for best drama as well as actor (Robert Pattinson and Dev Patel) and actress (Kristen Stewart and Freida Pinto).
At last month's MTV Movie Awards, "Twilight" won five awards, including best film. The Teen Choice Awards boasts many more categories, with seven surfboards handed out for top films as well as actor and actress in the following genres: action/adventure, bromantic comedy, comedy, drama, horror/thriller and music/dance.
