Vampires and ogres dominated the British box office over the weekend, with the latest in the Twilight series setting a new opening record for the year, according to Screen International on Tuesday.
"The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, took 13.75 million pounds, breaking the previous 2010 record of 10.5 million, set in March by "Alice in Wonderland." Link...

‘Twilight’ obsession leads to biting trend?
So, here’s the latest vampire-related trend apparently sweeping through middle schools: Some teens are biting each other, usually on the neck, as a way to declare love or friendship.
And, of course, they are documenting the act and slapping it up on Facebook for their parents to see. “The Early Show” reported last week that the “troubling new trend among teens” is likely the result of the booming popularity of the book and movie series, “Twilight” and the HBO show “True Blood.” Link...
