Twilight Eclipse News for July 2

“Eclipse” breaks box office record in his first opening night, and was well ahead of New Moon The hysterical obsession with Twilight films was all for to see when a record-setting $30 million in tickets got sold for 12:01 a.m. shows for third part of the Twilight sequel-Eclipse on Wednesday morning.
It has been reported that it broke the record of the industry’s previous midnight record holder, “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” which opened to $26.3 million in November.Hollywood.com reported that Eclipse also created an IMAX record for midnight grosses, selling over $1 million and in the process has left behind Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
Even though Summit Entertainment has not revealed its own prediction regarding how Twilight Eclipse will fare at the box office, trade pundits are convinced that this summer caper will leave behind even its predecessors. Link...


Twilight stars to surprise fans at Eclipse screenings this weekend

Twilight fans have more than one reason to go to the movies this weekend. Not only did the third installment of the girl-meets-vampire-meets-werewolf love triangle hit theaters across the country Wednesday, but the stars of the tween-scream inciting film are planning to surprise their fans at theatres across the continent all weekend.
Stars Kristen Stewart (the love-torn Bella) , Robert Pattinson, (the caring vampire Edward), and Taylor Lautner (the ripped werewolf), as well as well as members of the supporting cast, will randomly appear at movie theatres over the weekend. The stars already drew tears, camera flashes and screams from crowds waiting in line to see the film at Los Angeles’ Nokia theatre Thursday. Link...
