Twilight and New Moon News for July 11

(First of all, don't forget that today is Free Slurpee Day at participating 7-11 stores! During free Slurpee day 2009, 7-Eleven customers will be able to enjoy a free 7.11 ounce Slurpee. That's a fairly small serving, so you won't be overcome by a sugar coma or anything, and the intent is for new customers to fall in love with the cool treat. Most of the 7-Eleven stores will be running the promotion, but you might want to check ahead (just in case).)

What scene will Comic Con footage from 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' show?
At last year's Comic-Con event, Twilight was featured in the Summit Entertainment panel (which included Stephenie Meyer, director Catherine Hardwicke, and stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Edi Gathegi, Cam Gigandet, and Rachelle Lefevre).
At the event, a special feature included a preview scene from the film (seen below), which turned out to be the ballet studio scene.
The ballet studio scene was one of the final sequences in Twilight - and it was one of the most fearsome of the book Twilight. Having teased toward that scene in the prologue, in many ways, the book was building up to that scene for a lot of its volume. Read more...

It is very natural for a parent to find their child to be the most beautiful thing on the entire planet. That impossible beauty, that "most pure" love is almost universally what happens when a child comes into the world.

In Breaking Dawn, Bella Cullen's description of her child was no less sentimental. Said she, "Her tiny face was so absolutely perfect that it stunned me. She was even more beautiful than her father. Unbelievable. Impossible" (see Chapter 19, page 372).

Gil Birmingham: Official website rewolved and newly revealed casting details
Gil Birmingham, also known as Billy Black in the Twilight Saga movies, is the patriarch figure of the Quileutes. I had the recent opportunity to interview Gil, and he’s become my new favorite Twilight dad.
With a revamped (or should I say rewolved) website, it’s obvious that Gil is all about pleasing his fans, as demonstrated by his first monthly newsletter.
