Rolling Stones' Ronnie Wood portrayed as vampire
Artist Paul Karslake, whose sister is the musician's estranged wife Jo, described working on the piece as "cathartic", after Wood left his wife for a 20-year-old Russian blonde.
Mr Karslake came up with the idea after he was commissioned to create a picture to mark the launch of the US television show True Blood on the British channel FX this week. Read more...

Twilight fan plucked from 150 foot cliff
A Coast Guard helicopter crew plucked a fan of the book series "Twilight" from a cliff 150-feet above the rocky shoreline near La Push Tuesday.
A statement from the Quileute Nation says the 22-year-old man from Georgia was visiting the spot he believed was the location where a character in the second "Twilight" book goes cliff diving.
The young Twilight fan might have decided he's not the brave Hollywood type. Read more...

Reelzchannel schedules 'Twilight' series
Cable network Reelzchannel will launch a new weekly series, "Twilight Weekly: Spotlight," hosted by correspondent Naibe Reynoso, to offer updates on the "Twilight" films. The series premieres in its Monday primetime slot on Aug. 10 at 10 pm ET.
"Our special coverage of the Twilight movie has already earned Reelzchannel a reputation among Twi-hards, big fan blogs and social networking groups as a premiere destination for the latest news and views on all things 'Twilight'," Reelzchannel CEO Stan Hubbard said. Link....

'Twilight Saga: New Moon': Let's see the Volturi already!
Just reading this Sci Fi Wire interview with Christopher Heyerdahl, who'll play Volturi member Marcus in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, and I realized my patience for seeing an official image of that coven is wearing increasingly thin. "Everyone looks gorgeous and deliciously lifeless," Heyerdahl says. Release the Volturi tease now, Summit! (Or, at least at Comic-Con.)
As for Heyerdahl (Supernatural, Sanctuary, Stargate: Atlantis), I like where his head is at for his role:
