'New Moon' Fans Think Movie Deserves Oscar Nominations

Could two disparate 2009 news stories combine to make an unlikely third? In June, the Academy of Arts and Sciences announced that the Oscars' Best Picture category would expand from five films to 10. And this past week, "New Moon" opened to a staggering $140.7 million at the domestic box office. Is it possible that a vastly more inclusive Oscar race could welcome Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's vampire saga to its esteemed contest? Link...

'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' sets 3-day box office record
The Twilight Saga: New Moon has been the talk of the year. You cannot walk more than one city block without seeing something that reminds you of Twilight. You see it on your TV, you see it in Burger King when you go for your Whopper; Twilight is simply taking over.
And in the ideal take over fashion, the film has set a new three-day box office record according to gossip site Gossip Cop.
The Twilight Saga: New Moon opened in theaters just last Friday and already the film has racked in an estimated $258.9 million. Link...

Reset Your Twilight Countdown Clocks for Eclipse

All right, so we all saw New Moon at least twice this past weekend, right? (If only we had all seen it three times...) And it was pretty awesome or fun or terrible or whatever depending on your fandom level!
But it's really time we move on and reset our Twilight countdown for Eclipse. Today makes it about seven months and a week until our favorite gang of moody teenagers bring their tortured love triangle back to the big screen.
For now, all we've got is this new Eclipse poster, which hints that the third installment will be pretty cloudy. Ahhhhh! Cannot wait! Link...
