'Twilight' takes another big bite out of weekend box office
"The Twilight Saga: New Moon" took the biggest bite out of the weekend box office for the second straight week, according to a ticket tracking company.
The second installment of Summit's teen vampire "Twilight" series sold another $42.5 million in tickets in its second week in release, bringing its two-week total to an estimated $231 million, according to Hollywood.com.
Warner Bros. "The Blind Side," starring Sandra Bullock, sold an estimated $34.1 million in tickets to come in second place, while the apocalyptic "2012," starring John Cusack, came in third with $26.4 million in ticket sales.
Overall, moviegoers spent a record $278 million over the Thanksgiving weekend in the United States and Canada, up $34 million over the same period last year, according to Hollywood.com. Link...

Twilight superstar Robert Pattinson has revealed he's struggling to come to terms with the success of the Twilight saga, and finds it hard to cope with stardom.
‘It worries me, because the whole Twilight thing keeps getting bigger and bigger, and now it's so big, even my own ego can't cope with it,' he told Times Live. Link...

It’s claimed the British heartthrob will receive up to £1 million per episode he stars in.

Costume director reveals 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' wardrobe decision-making processes
The shift wasn't too drastic to stomach, but there was certainly a noticeable difference in the costuming from Twilight to The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
According to costume designer Tish Monaghan's recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, though, the changes were methodical and purposed.

What Men Can Learn From "New Moon"
I spent my Black Friday surrounded by women of all ages, 16 to 60, watching Kristen Stewart play Bella Swan as she panted her way through a love triangle including an amazingly buff and bare-chested wolf-boy, Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), and the amazingly pale and pouty vampire, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). I wasn't there for the story but more as a kind of sociological learning experience. What would cause grown women to throw their panties at 18-year-old boys (as Launer recently reported on Letterman)? Is this some kind of revenge for years of Sports Illustrated swimsuit editions? More importantly, what does the huge response for New Moon say about what women want, and apparently aren't getting, from their mere mortal boyfriends and husbands? Link...
